This story may be a bit of an inside scoop, or you may even venture to call it "rumor." Angel's upcoming Testament is now finished shooting and is now being scheduled to arrive on the Angel app sometime soon, but the exact date is TBD... or is it?
If you were not aware, a previous incarnation of the Testament show was on the Angel streaming service last year, and it was made into a successful show that has now been removed from platform, seemingly in favor of the newer show which is anticipated to be even better. There was nothing wrong with the previous incarnation, so I was surprised when I realized it could not longer be found on the streamer. But it had been made with a more indie budget previously.
This newer version is expected to show the more complete vision that the showrunner/director Paul Syrstad had in store for the series. And it is expected to hit hard, soon... when it drops. But when is that, exactly?
So, it looks like we don't have complete confirmation yet, as every other indication seems to indicate an unspecific "this summer" as the time of release, but we actually DO have a more specific date mentioned in the small print on the brand profile for the show. This small print says June 8th. Again, this is not full confirmation, but it may still be coming on this date or close to this date.

If you are unfamiliar with Paul Syrstad's UK-based Testament series, it's about a parallel world in which Christ came to earth in a universe that bears resemblance to ours, but modern weapons like firearms do not exist... and yet some other more futuristic technology does. This way the show's comparison to the first century A.D. as depicted in the biblical The Acts of the Apostles makes a lot more sense, while also allowing this show to more efficiently be filmed in modern-day London.
